Domestic Violence

Rocky Books

Rocky Books are digital story books for children who have witnessed domestic violence. The narrative provides them with coping mechanisms such as ‘Fire fists’ (pictured) to manage their anxiety. I led trauma-informed research with families who had experienced domestic violence to explore how relatable and useful the books were for children and parents. Working with the founders, and writers and illustrators, I shared insights and identified opportunities for future iterations of the books, to help them have most impact.
